The Russian occupiers recognized the acute shortage of doctors in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. Even providing housing to specialists from Russia does not solve this problem.

This was reported by the Center of National Resistance (central nervous system).

According to the resource, most local doctors refused to cooperate with the occupation administration, which led to a serious shortage of personnel.

At a meeting of the occupation administration, the collaborators confirmed that even the provision of housing confiscated from Ukrainians who left the region does not attract doctors from Russia,” the message reads.

The reason for this is the reluctance of Russians to go to the temporarily occupied territories. They understand that their work is temporary and the occupation remains unstable. According to the invaders themselves, only 40 doctors moved to the occupied territories on a permanent basis for the whole of 2023, which is much lower than the Kremlin’s expectations.
