According to the information of the regional military administration, the number of shellings that Russia inflicts on residential and critical infrastructure, in particular on energy facilities of the Sumy region, compared to last year’s indicators, has increased significantly. In particular, more than 12,500 enemy strikes were recorded in Sumy Oblast since the beginning of the year alone, while in 2023 there were 8,000 of them
The head of OVA Volodymyr Artyukh noted that the enemy continues to use powerful means of fire damage – aerial bombs, missiles, drones to hit critical infrastructure objects and maim and kill our people.
“Therefore, we will continue to carry out evacuations, including forced evacuations, take children out of dangerous areas, and today the issue of expanding the list of these areas is under consideration. Today, the task for leaders on the ground is to qualitatively ensure this process to protect people,” Artyukh added.
