According to the American human rights organization Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the number of people killed in protests in Iran has risen to at least 538 people, including 490 protesters.

Details: The US-based human rights group HRANA confirmed the deaths of 490 protesters and 48 security forces, and the arrest of more than 10,600 people in two weeks of unrest, according to the latest figures obtained from activists inside and outside Iran.

What preceded: According to the human rights organization Human Rights Activists in Iran, as of Friday evening, at least 65 people, most of whom were protesters, had died during the protests. The organization said more than 2,300 people had been arrested and the protests had spread to 180 cities in Iran.
