Literally the General Staff: “A total of 278 combat clashes were recorded during the past 24 hours. Yesterday (December 17 – editor’s note) the enemy carried out 74 airstrikes, dropped 179 guided air bombs. In addition, it carried out 3,729 attacks, including 75 from rocket salvo systems, and engaged 3,523 kamikaze drones for destruction.”

Details: On Severno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 Russian attacks. The occupiers carried out 3 airstrikes, dropped 8 guided air bombs and launched 138 attacks, including 8 from rocket salvo systems.
On South-Slobozhansk direction Ukrainian troops stopped 9 enemy attacks in the areas of Prylipka, Synelnikove and in the direction of Izbytsky, Obukhivka, Kolodyazny.
On Kupyansk direction there were 24 attacks by invaders in the direction of Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Pischany, Novoplatonivka, Golubivka, Nova Kruglyakivka.
On Lyman direction the Russians attacked 27 times in the area of Torskyi and in the direction of the settlements of Lyman, Stepove, Koroviya Yar, Zarichne, Drobysheve, Novoselivka, Stavky, Glushchenkove.
On Slavic direction The defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas of Siversk, Serebryanka and towards Pazeno.
On Kramatorsk direction Occupants 1 once attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops in the direction of Bondarny.
On Kostyantynivskyi direction Russians carried out 24 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Rusyny Yar, Yablunivka and towards Sofiivka, Kostiantynivka.
On Pokrovsky direction Ukrainian defenders stopped 82 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Kotlyna, Udachne, Pokrovsk and in the direction of Rivne, Myrnograd, Rodinsky, Hryshny, Zvirovo, Sergiyivka, Novopavlivka, Filia, Novy Shakhovy, Dorozhny, Sukhetsky, Vilny, Ivanovka.
On Oleksandrovsky direction the Russians carried out 20 attacks in the areas of Zeleny Gay, Sichneve, Krasnohirske, Zlagoda, Rybne and in the direction of Ivanivka, Iskra, Oleksandrograd, Verbovoy, Privilny.
On Gulyaipil direction The defense forces repelled 28 attacks by the occupiers in the area of the settlement of Solodke and in the direction of Varvarivka, Gulyaipol.
On Orihiv direction the invaders attacked 8 times in the areas of Shcherbaki, Stepove settlements and in the directions of Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, and Primorskyi.
