The National Police reports on new searches due to illegal border crossing

The National Police is conducting searches in cases of illegal border crossing by conscripts, the agency announced on January 17. According to the press service, more than 200 searches are ongoing.

“Policemen, under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office, have started searches on the territory of 19 regions of Ukraine for persons involved in illegal devices,” the message says.

According to the agency, offenses are committed with the help of fraud, forgery of documents, unauthorized interference in the work of electronic registers and bribery of officials.

The law enforcement officers add that they will report the details after the completion of the investigation.

On January 10, the National Police of Ukraine reported on more than 600 simultaneous searches across the country in the case of organizing illegal channels for transporting men of military age across the border. At that time, the police called it “only the first stage of a special operation” to block the channels of transporting men abroad.
