Direct speech: “The details were given to me by our Consul General. We consider such actions disproportionate and unacceptable towards our champion and will send a corresponding note to the Polish side.”

Details: Sibiga wrote that he immediately reacted to Usyk’s detention in Kraków and contributed to his release.

He coordinated the actions of Ukrainian diplomats while on the border of Ukraine and Romania, where the head of the Foreign Ministry is currently heading for his first foreign visit.

We will remind:

  • After midnight, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, spoke by phone with Usyk and informed that he had been released.
  • Usyk himself reported that there was a misunderstanding at the Kraków airport, where he was detained, and thanked Ukrainian diplomats for their support.
