“From September 1, 2025, basic military training will be introduced in higher educational institutions”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“I want to emphasize that she (BZVP – ed.) is mandatory for all. And if students cannot pass the exam according to some principles or pass it “unsatisfactorily”, if they refuse to take the military oath, they will not be able to study at higher educational institutions in the future,” said Melnyk.
From September 1, 2025, basic military training will be introduced in higher educational institutions. It will consist of theoretical and practical courses. Both men and women have to pass the theoretical test. Practical – a must for men. At the same time, if women want to take a practical course of the BZVP, they will then have to pass the VLK, be suitable for military service and be registered with the TCC.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense noted that basic military training for students of higher educational institutions will begin in September 2025.
According to the report, the course involves 300 academic hours and will consist of two parts:
- theoretical – 90 academic hours that students will complete in educational institutions
- practical – 210 academic hours in training units, centers of the Armed Forces and other institutions.
The Ministry of Defense reported that on January 15, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed a draft law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine on military duty and military service. The law provides for changes regarding the acceptance of Ukrainian citizens for military registration, as well as their medical examination during basic military training
On May 18 last year, the law on mobilization entered into force. Among other things, it provides that all conscripts, conscripts and reservists aged 18 to 60 must update their data. You can update the data in the “Rezerv+” mobile application.
