The Ministry of Defense announced the results of voting for members of the Public Anti-Corruption Council

On January 13, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the new composition of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry.

“On January 13, 2025, a meeting of the Commission for ensuring the holding of a competition for the formation of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was held. According to the results of nationwide online elections, 15 of the 40 candidates who received the most votes will join the Council,” the message reads.

The commission decided to consider the following candidates elected:

  • Yuriy Volodymyrovych Gudymenko (Veteran ax)
  • Nikolayenko Tetyana Volodymyrivna (Independent Anti-Corruption Commission)
  • Shuba Anastasia Vadimovna (Anti-corruption ax)
  • Nikita Oleksandrovich Solovyov (Anti-corruption ax)
  • Mykyta Volodymyrovych Shtankov (Veteran Ax)
  • Brit Oresta Pavlivna (BON)
  • Olena Ivanivna Nyshporka (Anti-corruption ax)
  • Chernov Oleg Valeriyovych (Ukrainian Legal Society)
  • Maksym Yuriyovych Kostetskyi (Independent Anti-Corruption Commission)
  • Viktor Bishchuk (Ukrainian Law Society)
  • Olena Mykolaivna Tregub (Independent Anti-Corruption Commission)
  • Kateryna Andriivna Datsenko (Center for Social Control)
  • Anton Serhiyuk Mykytyuk (Center for Social Control)
  • Vitaliy Volodymyrovych Masyuk (Ukrainian Law Society)
  • Viktor Vyacheslavovych Prudkovskikh (Center for Social Control).

“The new composition of the Council will continue the implementation of civilian control of zero tolerance of officials to corruption in the defense sector to ensure transparency, accountability and prevent corruption in the defense department,” the Ministry of Defense said.

Nationwide online voting for the composition of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense took place on January 7 on the official resource of the department.

According to the IOM, 101,215 Ukrainians took part in the elections of the new members of the Council: “this is a record turnout, which is almost 2.5 times higher than the previous elections in 2023, when about 41,000 citizens voted.”

The Ministry of Defense noted that the system during voting “withstood the DDoS attack thanks to the coordinated work of the technical team.”

On December 26, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine canceled the results of the preliminary online voting for members of the Public Anti-Corruption Council and postponed the selection of candidates due to a technical failure.

The Public Anti-Corruption Council is a permanent collegial advisory body of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, established for public participation in the assessment of corruption risks in the Ministry of Defense.
