The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has admitted more than 25 samples of Ukrainian unmanned interceptors in the Armed Forces, the press service of the department reports.

Also, more than 80 new samples of unmanned aviation complexes with optic fiber management channel have been operated in defense forces.

“The Defense Ministry focuses more efforts and resources on the development and production of effective means of destruction that are critically necessary today. It is, in particular, about UAVs with the optic fiber and drones- interceptors of enemy reconnaissance and shock drones, ”- said First Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Gavriluk.

On July 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the newly appointed Defense Minister Denis Shmigal “Urgently” to conclude all contracts for the drones required by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Subsequently, Zelensky stated the need for production of 500-1000 interceptors per day:

“There is an approved plan – to reach the number of 500–1000 interceptors per day, it is not easy. Per day within a specified period, and this is the personal responsibility of all our officials involved. ”
