Details: It is reported that as a result of comprehensive measures in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the organizers of the scandal were exposed: the commercial director of the state-owned enterprise, his ex-leader and the owner of the contractor company.

As the investigation established, in April 2022, the state plant concluded a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for the urgent purchase of dynamic protection systems for domestic tanks. The equipped armored vehicles were to be immediately “in line” and leave the factory workshops directly for the combat zone in various directions of the front.
However, instead of the immediate implementation of the defense order, the main figure, who headed the manufacturing company at the time, organized the embezzlement of budget funds.
For the implementation of the device, he involved the commercial director of the plant and the founder of the contracting company, with whom he signed a contract for the purchase of components for armor protection at prices three times higher than market prices.
The resulting “difference” was transferred to the shadows through a network of controlled companies for further distribution among the participants of the criminal scheme.
Expert examinations confirmed the facts of the assignment of losses to the state budget in particularly large amounts.

Currently, the suspected ex-head of the defense plant is already in custody as part of an earlier investigation into the production of defective mortar shells. SBU investigators detained him at the end of April this year.
