Russia and Ukraine do not provide information about their losses in the war. Moscow officially called the number of killed in September 2022 – then declared 5937 dead. Kyiv did not do this for a long time, stating that the data would be disclosed after the war.

On February 4, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that since the beginning of the full -scale war, Ukraine had lost 45100 thousand soldiers to the dead, 390 thousand were injured.
