Details: In particular, Putin told the German chancellor that he unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine because of “many years of aggressive NATO policy aimed at creating an anti-Russian bridgehead on Ukrainian territory.”

He also claimed that he allegedly never refused negotiations on a peaceful settlement, but on the terms of the Russian Federation, “taking into account the new territorial realities.”

Putin also complained about the “degradation” of relations between the Russian Federation and Germany due to the “unfriendly course” of the authorities in Berlin.

“It was agreed that the leaders’ assistants will be in touch after the conversation,” the Kremlin summarized.

Earlier in Berlin it was reported that Scholz called Putin on Friday, condemned a Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and insisted that Putin should be ready to negotiate and withdraw his troops.

The German chancellor also intends call Volodymyr Zelenskyi and talk about the results of the conversation.
