Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and IMF Director Krystalina Georgieva discussed the state of the economy of Ukraine and progress in the implementation of the conditions under the EFF financing program.
“The Ministry of Finance, together with the teams of the National Bank and the IMF, continues to work on the implementation of jointly defined reforms. We have successfully passed six views of the program and are working to fulfill the conditions for the seventh view and, as a result, obtaining the next tranche about $ 917.5 million, ”the Ukrainian Minister said.

According to the Ministry of Finance, for almost two years of expanding funding program, Ukraine has successfully completed six views – for the first time in the history of cooperation with the IMF. This allowed to attract about $ 9.8 billion in the State Budget of Ukraine from the program provided for 2023 – 2027 $ 15.5 billion.
The department reminded that in 2025 it is planned to raise $ 2.7 billion from the IMF as a result of four quarter views.
Last December, Ukraine received another tranche from the International Monetary Fund of $ 1.1 billion.
Since the beginning of a full -scale war, the expenditures of the State Budget of Ukraine have increased significantly. While the military campaign is funded by domestic resources, Ukraine is counting on supporting international partners in financing social and humanitarian needs.
