The IMF has completed the eighth view of EFF – Ukraine will allocate about $ 500 million

The IMF Board has completed the eighth revision of the extended financing program within the Extended Financing Mechanism (EFF) for Ukraine, which allowed Ukraine to allocate about $ 0.5 billion to Ukraine, which will be aimed at budget support.

According to the Fund’s press service, the Ukrainian economy remains stable, and the authorities have fulfilled all quantitative criteria for efficiency as of the end of March and on a permanent basis, previous measures and two structural beacons for viewing.

“Despite the challenges, progress in the mobilization of internal income, strengthening of investment climate, improving government and completion of debt restructuring strategy are necessary to restore fiscal and debt and growth. Complete and timely provision of external support during the program period remains a necessary condition for macroeconomic stability, ”the statement reads.

The total amount of payments under the IMF program will reach $ 10.6 billion.

On May 20, the International Monetary Fund reported that the next revision of the expanded funding program in Ukraine was starting.

The EFF for Ukraine for a period of 48 months with access to about $ 15.5 billion was approved on March 31, 2023 and is part of an international support for $ 152.9 billion.
