“New rounds of tough sanctions to deprive Russia of resources for terror and war. New packages of defense aid to Ukraine to better protect our people and repel invaders. New steps to ensure accountability for Russian crimes,” the minister wrote.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also called for public condemnation of Russia’s actions.

“We inform our partners about the consequences of the night strikes. We call for a decisive reaction. Public condemnation – especially from those who recently reacted with concern to the fake “attack on Putin’s residence”, – added Sybiga.

We will remind, on December 29, US President Donald Trump announced about a conversation with the ruler of the Russian Federationin which he told him, among other things, about Ukraine’s alleged attempt attack his residence with drones.

On January 1, The Wall Street Journal reported that US national security officials refuted the claims of the Russian side about the alleged attack of Ukrainian drones on Putin’s residence.

Ukraine denied carrying out such an attack and called the accusations part of a Russian disinformation campaign aimed at driving a wedge between Kyiv and Washington.

Later, Trump himself admitted that “doesn’t believe” in an attack on Putin’s residence.
