What preceded:
- The head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi, said that in the Cherkasy region, a man wanted for murder shot four policemen during his arrest. It was also noted that special police officers eliminated the shooter.
- Another law enforcement officer was wounded.
- Gudyma said that the man who killed four policemen was a local resident, a former military man, who is 59 years old.
- Vyhivskyi added that the special forces were already bleeding, but were still alive, and the suspect shot them at close range.
