There were 61 fighting on the front from the beginning of this day, as of 16:00 on August 5, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

More than a third of the clashes were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction. “The Russian invaders made 24 attempts to slip our defenders from the positions in the areas of settlements of Popi Yar, Volodymyrivka, Boykivka, Suvorovo, New Economic, Mirolyubivka, Mykolaivka, Rodinskoe, Lisivka, Zarovo, Lucky, Novoukra, Olekivka. Defense forces restrain the pressure and reflect 20 enemy attacks, four municipalities continue, ”the message reads.

According to the General Staff, the fighting also lasted in the North Slobozhansky, Kursk, South Slobozhansky, Kupyansk, Lyman, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky, Orikhiv directions.

On July 26, the spokesman of Khortytsia reported that, although the Pokrovsky direction remains the most intense, the main purpose of the Russian troops has now changed: “If in the winter it was more about the western neighborhoods, that to the west and south of Pokrovsk, now the main mission of the Russian From the East. ”
