There were 76 combat clashes from the beginning of the day, the Armed Forces General Staff reported in the summary as of 16:00 on September 2.

The most Russian attacks, according to the report, were in the Pokrovsky direction – 21, 20 of them have already repelled the forces of Ukraine.

The fighting also lasted in the North Slobozhansky, Kursk, South Slobozhansky, Kupyansk, Lymansky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky and Dnieper directions.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

On August 31, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, after the report of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Sirsky, stated that the Russian army concentrates the greatest efforts in the Pokrovsky direction and, “accordingly, the greatest losses.”

On September 2, intelligence of the United Kingdom noted that Russian military activity has decreased in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, since the Russian Federation has relocated parts of its forces to other sections of the front line, which is likely to be part of an attempt to increase pressure in priority areas, in particular in Donetsk region.
