The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the damage to an oil refinery in Russia and the “Shakhediv” launch base in occupied Donetsk

The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that the Defense Forces hit the Volgograd oil refinery, as well as the “Shakhed” storage, assembly and launch base in temporarily occupied Donetsk.

According to the headquarters, explosions and fires were recorded in the area of ​​the refinery, the annual volume of the Volgograd Refinery is 15.7 million tons (5.6% of all processing in the Russian Federation).

“On the night of November 5, 2025, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the Shahed UAV storage, assembly and launch base in temporarily occupied Donetsk (the territory of the Donetsk airport). According to objective control data, explosions and a powerful secondary detonation were recorded on the territory of the facility. The task was carried out by units of the missile forces and artillery, the Unmanned Systems Forces (414th brigade) and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the message reads.

The General Staff adds that in order to reduce the logistical capabilities of the enemy on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, three objects of fuel and lubricants were hit – at the oil depot in the settlement of Gvardiyske, a successful hit was recorded in a tank and tanks with PMM on a spill-over overpass, tank parks were hit at two PPM bases in Simferopol, and fuel tanks caught fire.

After the start of a full-scale invasion of Russia, various objects on the territory of the Russian Federation are subjected to airstrikes. Most often, in 2024 and 2025, oil refineries (refineries) became the target of attacks.

Most of the attacks were confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces, as well as at forcing the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.”
