On this part of the front, Russian troops tried 61 times to break through the Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Novopoltavka, Tarasivka, Baranivka, Myrolyubivka, Elizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnograd, Novy Trud, Zvirove, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Novovasylivka, Novoandriivka, Novoelizavetivka, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne and Yantarne. There are 13 clashes going on so far.
Compared to the previous day, according to the headquarters, the number of battles increased
Lymansky (39 attacks) and Kramatorsk directions (32).
In the operational zone in Kurshchyna, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 22 Russian attacks during the day.
Also, the enemy continues its attacks of lower intensity in the Kharkiv, Kupyan, Siver, Toretsk, Novopavliv, and Orihiv directions. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has not carried out active operations in the Gulyaipil and Prydniprovsky directions.

The DeepState project and the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) previously reported that the Russian army in the first days of 2025 is actively capturing new territories to the south, southeast and east of Pokrovsk.
According to DeepState data, the aggressor is not going to storm the city head-on – but will focus on the roads leading to Pokrovsk.
ISW put forward the same hypothesis. According to the Institute’s analysts, the Russian Federation concentrated its efforts on attempts to encircle Pokrovsk.
