The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: there were 120 skirmishes at the front during the day, the most in the Pokrovsky direction

There were 120 combat clashes on the front last day, most of them in the Pokrovsky direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning briefing on October 24.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 39 assault actions of the aggressor near the settlements of Nikanorivka, Myrnograd, Rodynske, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Molodetske, Novoukrainka, Chervyn Liman, Novoeknomichne, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka and Dachne,” the message reads.

In addition, according to the General Staff, Russian attacks were recorded in the North-Slobozhansk, Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kostiantynovsky, Oleksandrivsk, Orichivsk, Prydniprovsk directions.

“According to updated information, yesterday the enemy carried out 90 airstrikes and dropped 184 guided air bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,987 attacks, including 152 from rocket salvo systems, and engaged 6,688 kamikaze drones for destruction,” the summary states.

Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.

British intelligence has recently reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.
