According to the headquarters, more than a third of the battles took place in the Pokrovsky direction, Russian troops tried 65 times to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Pankivka, Mayak, Sukhy Yar, Zvirove, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Novoeconomichne, Chervyn Liman, Promin, Balagan, Novopavlivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Filia, Dachne. In some locations, the fighting does not stop.
Ukrainian units stopped 15 Russian attacks in the Oleksandrivskyi direction.
The enemy also continues its attacks in the North-Slobozhansk, Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Gulyaipilsk, Orihiv and Dnieper directions.
Syrskyi said that he discussed strengthening the stability of Ukrainian defense with the commanders, and also emphasized once again the inadmissibility of distorting and concealing information about the real situation in reports.
“Dishonesty has too high a price – the lives of our soldiers. My first demand is the truth, whatever it may be. A commander who hides the truth about the situation on the battlefield has no right to be a commander,” he wrote in a telegram.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.
British intelligence has recently reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.
