According to the headquarters, the largest number of Russian attacks is in the Pokrovsky direction, where during this day the aggressor attacked Ukrainian positions 42 times in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Myrolyubivka, Novoeconomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirov, Chunyshine, Udachne, Kotlyarivka, Gorikhove and Filia.
There were also intense battles in the Oleksandrivskyi and Kostyantynivskyi directions – there were 26 and 22 attacks, respectively. Two more combat clashes are still ongoing.
The enemy continues its attacks in the South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Orihiv and Dnieper directions.
No combat clashes were recorded in the Gulyaipil direction.

On October 14, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces advanced up to 1.6 kilometers in some directions.
According to the observations of British intelligence, given in September, Pokrovsk, as a logistics center in Donetsk region, remains the main point of Russian offensive operations. It restrains Russia’s further advance in the Donetsk region and in the direction of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.
On October 1, Oleksandr Syrskyi announced that the Ukrainian military had cut off the so-called “Dobropil’s advance” of Russian troops.
