The General Staff of the Armed Forces has updated the data of Russia’s loss in the war: nearly 865 thousand military

Russia lost about 864 860 of its soldiers during the full -scale invasion of Ukraine, including 1280 – in the last day – such data by the morning of February 21 is cited by the Ukrainian General Staff.

Concerning losses in the Russian Federation, the Armed Forces command reported as follows:

• Artillery Systems – 23462 (+52)
• RSZV – 1295 (+4)
• air defense facilities – 1080 (+2)
• Planes – 370
• Helicopters – 331

• Automobile equipment and tanker trucks – 38104 (+143)
• Special equipment – 3753 (+1).

Russia and Ukraine do not provide information about their losses in the war. Moscow officially called the number of killed in September 2022 – then declared 5937 dead. Western sources estimate the number of Russian dead and wounded in more than 600,000 people, not taking into account the losses of North Korean soldiers who participated in the battles.

According to the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Sirsky, Russia lost more than 48 thousand soldiers during the battles in Kurshchyna, in particular, about 20 thousand were killed.

Kyiv also did not voice losses for a long time, stating that the data would be disclosed after the war. At the same time, on February 16, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with NBC News that since February 2022, Ukraine lost more than 46,000 soldiers and about 380,000 in the war.

On February 4, 2025, Ukraine has lost 45100 thousand soldiers since the beginning of the Full -Swarming War, 390 thousand were injured. The number of wounded Russian soldiers of Ukraine then estimated at 600-700 thousand (300-350 thousand killed) from 50 to 70 thousand Russians, according to Zelensky, there are missing missing.
