The General Staff of the Armed Forces: 78 combat clashes took place at the front from the beginning of the day

From the beginning of the day on July 18, 78 combat clashes were held at the front between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the Russian military, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

According to the military, 23 attacks of the Russian Federation took place in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, four combatants continue. Aviation made eight blows, dropping 12 managed aviation bombs. In addition, the forces of the Russian Federation carried out 131 artillery shelling of positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, according to the rank.

In the Armed Forces, it is said that in Kupyansk direction there is an attack of the Russian Federation in the area of Stepova Novoselivka.

“In the Lyman direction, the invading army made eight attacks in the areas of Korovayov Yar, Karpivka, wells, Shandrivolov and Thor. Two combatants are ongoing, ”the General Staff noted.

It is also known that in the Pokrovsky direction of the Russian Federation, 28 attempts to squeeze the Ukrainian military in the areas of Poltavka, Vladimir, New Economic, Lisivka, Mirnograd, Pokrovskaya, Zarov, Kotter, Molodetsky, Lucky, Walnut, Oleksiyivka. Defense forces restrain the pressure and have already repelled 24 attacks.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.
