Taras Chmut, head of the “Return Alive” foundation, believes that the front is currently going through the worst period since the spring of 2022, that is, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, because Ukrainian defenders are slowly retreating, Ukraine lacks weapons, people and the determination of its partners.

Direct speech: “In my opinion (the front – ed.), it did not “sprinkle”, but the front is going through the worst period since the spring of the 22nd. And the situation we have was the result of a bunch of different processes: internal, external, in the Armed Forces, in the state, in the country, in the partner countries, which in small steps led and continue to lead to bad, negative scenarios for the development of further events.
It is not the Russians who have such a strong power, but our weakness. Why the weakness? Because there are no people, an insufficient amount of ammunition, there is no strategic support from partners for non-linear countermeasures against the Russian Federation. Banal – permission to strike American weapons or other countries on (Russian – ed.) airfields and so on. It’s not just about that.
A year ago we had more people, now there are fewer. Mobilization is not happening now. There were losses, there are, and we, unfortunately, can’t do anything about it. The losses of Ukraine and Russia are disproportionate, but our human potential, unfortunately, is not disproportionate.”
Details: Chmut added that the Russian Federation also has very active partners who make quick decisions and provide Russia with weapons and even their military. In particular, the DPRK, according to him, is an important factor in the war. He compared North Korea’s aid to Russia with US aid to Ukraine.
He noted that this is reflected in the situation on the battlefield, because the Ukrainian defenders are retreating.
The head of the Come Back Alive Foundation believes that Ukraine’s partners are showing weakness and are afraid of Russia.
