The Foreign Ministry reacted to the murder in Belgium’s wife and daughter of the Ukrainian military

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga has instructed the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium to keep a case on a special control of the probable murder in the Belgian city of Hasrode of two citizens of Ukraine-mother and her 6-year-old daughter.

Details: Consular staff are already in contact with their victims and representatives of the local police and the prosecutor’s office. The bodies of the two victims were discovered when extinguishing a fire in one of the houses.

“The circumstances of the death and the causes of the incident are established. The prosecutor’s office of the city of Leoven opened criminal proceedings, investigative actions are ongoing. Ukrainian diplomats will continue to provide the necessary consular assistance and inform the public about the investigation,” the statement reads.

That preceded: In the city of Hasrode in the house found dead Ukrainian women: a 46-year-old mother and her 6-year-old daughter, both casualties had knife wounds, the crime scene was set on fire.

The prosecutor’s office began an investigation into a double murder. The man is currently fighting in Ukraine.

Last year, two citizens of Ukraine, men 1987 and 2001 were killed in Germany. As it turned out later, they were servicemen who were restored in Bavaria after injuries. The 57-year-old Russian, detained after this crime, was chosen by a preventive measure.
