Details: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the Spanish side had transmitted official information about the murder of Portnov in its territory, “because he was a citizen of Ukraine.”

The former adviser to the former Ukrainian fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych-Andriy Portnov-was shot dead on May 21 in Madrid.
The pro -Russian Portnov was the first deputy chairman of the Presidential Administration Viktor Yanukovych, and in July 2022 it became known that he left Ukraine through Transcarpathia.
He has also been under US sanctions since December 2021 on charges of trade in Ukrainian courts.
