In the occupied Crimea, the second day continues to burn the largest oil heater on the peninsula, located in Feodosia. The fire began on the night of October 6 after the attack of Ukrainian drones.

According to the Crimean Wind Telegrams, drones attacked the terminal about 01:40 on Monday. The channel posted a video showing an airborne shooting or target and then a powerful explosion with a pillar of fire near the oil depot.

The alarm signal in Feodosia only turned on at 02:27 – one and a half hours after the start of the attack on the oil terminal.

The fire at the oil depot was visible from a distance of 30 kilometers, published photos from the settlement of the Priwee, located in the Kirov district of Crimea, northwest of Feodosia.

The Russian -controlled power of Theodosius ordered the movement of the traffic located near the oil depot, calling what happened, “the situation”, notes the project of Radio Liberty Crimea.

According to the NASA FIRMS satellite, there are two foci of fires at the Feodosia oil terminal: in the northwestern and eastern parts of the oil depot.

In the satellite image for October 6, the smoke from the fire at the oil depot extends 12 kilometers.

The oil terminal in Feodosia has previously been undergoing Ukrainian attacks – in particular, the Armed Forces attacked the oil depot on the night of October 7, 2024. The fire at the Feodosia oil depot then lasted for more than a week.

The terminal is the largest in the Crimea, with a capacity of 12 million tons of petroleum products per year and capacities for simultaneous storage of 250 thousand tons of products.

After the commencement of a full -scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, Russian regions, as well as occupied Russian territories, regularly undergo shelling and attacks of drones. The Ukrainian side does not comment on such strikes every time, but regularly emphasizes that it is working on the weakening of the rear bases of the Russian Army to reduce the offensive potential of the aggressor.
