According to the investigation, since 2017, the suspect, using his considerable authority in the theater environment, his official position as a teacher and director of the theater, systematically induced female students to enter into sexual relations with him without their voluntary consent and committed sexual violence against them.
The OGPU claims that in the period from March 2018 to April 2023, he repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted five girls, two of whom were minors at the time, in the office premises of the theater.
“For those who tried to avoid him and reacted negatively to sexual harassment, he created an atmosphere of intimidation, namely, he did not pay attention during classes, publicly devalued and humiliated him, did not involve him in participation in practical classes (exhibitions), which put students at risk of expulsion from the educational institution,” the report says.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. A motion to choose a preventive measure for the suspect has been prepared.
In January, Andriy Bilous, a teacher at the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University, was suspended from his job. This happened after one of the students accused him of sexual harassment and sending obscene messages. Bilous does not comment on the accusations against him and says that he is open to a legal investigation.
The girl’s confession was also caused by other posts from students and graduates of the educational institution, in which they cite their own stories of similar incidents at the university on social networks.
In February, Kyiv police began investigating allegations of sexual harassment against a teacher at a capital educational institution.
In May, he submitted an application for dismissal by agreement of the parties from the position of director – artistic director of the Kyiv Academic Youth Theater.
