“Most likely, the project of the new package will be ready soon in January, in order to approve it before the anniversary of the full-scale Russian aggression,” said another diplomat.
He reminded that the previous EU packages were agreed within a month, so this time the goal also looks realistic.
As “Europeyska Pravda” reported, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga drew attention to the fact that the Russian economy faced “dramatic problems”, and in this connection called on Western countries to increase sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation and told how it can be done.
At the same time, the European Union decided to introduce sanctions against the vessels of the “shadow fleet” that transport Russian oil, separately from sanction packages.
