The EU Court left sanctions against the former Viceremier of the Russian Federation Shuvalov

The Court of the European Union rejected the appeal of the former Viceremier of Russia Igor Shuvalov, leaving it on the sanction list.

Details: Shuvalov was listed in the EU sanction list in February 2022 for supporting actions and policies that undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

This led, in particular, to freeze its funds and economic resources, as well as to ban or transit into the territory of the European Union.

In September 2022 and March 2023, the EU Council decided to continue the measures for Shuvalov.

The lawsuit of the Russian exposting was rejected by the European Court of General Jurisdiction, after which Shuvalov appealed to the EU court.

The EU Court rejected the appeal of the EU and left the decision of the European Court of Justice.

At the end of January, the Court of the European Union left the sanctions of the entrepreneur Alexander Vinokurov, married to the daughter of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

Before that, the EU Court did not cancel the sanctions against the Russian megaphone mobile operator.
