The Russian troops were attacked when the Czech President Peter Paul was there. Three children were injured as a result of the attack, large -scale fires occurred, and there were emergency shutdowns.
The shelling that led to the destruction in the evening of March 20 was also in the Zaporozhye district. Six people were injured there, including a 4-year-old boy.
The destruction of civilian infrastructure through Russian shelling was also reported in the Kyiv region, there were no victims there.
Russian military regularly from various weapons – UAVs, missiles, booths, RSSUs – attacked Ukrainian regions.
The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.
Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
On the evening of March 18, US and Russia President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin held almost two -hour telephone talks. According to the White House, they agreed that the movement to peace would begin with an “energy and infrastructure ceasefire, as well as technical negotiations on the introduction of a Marine truce in the Black Sea, complete ceasefire and constant peace.”
The Kremlin argued that Putin supported Trump’s idea of a monthly moratorium on mutual blows to energy infrastructure – “he positively responded to this initiative and immediately gave the Russian military the appropriate team.”
At the same time, after the conversation and allegedly the order of Putin, the Russian military continued to fire Ukraine, including energy infrastructure.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that “every such launch of Russians show the world their true attitude to peace.”
