Details: As “Suspilne Uzhhorod” reports, it is about the ex-chairman of Beregov and ex-Deputy Istvan Gaidosh, as well as the director of the municipal water supply company “Karpatviz”. The institution’s website states that “Karpatviz” is headed by Andriy Kulakov.
Details: It is reported that the former deputy was formally hired as the head of the legal department in June 2022. The director not only provided him with the initial reprieve, but also signed documents for re-booking throughout 2024-2025, until his dismissal from office.
In the summer of 2025, the ex-Deputy left abroad allegedly on a business trip. He never returned to Ukraine. According to operational data, the suspect currently lives in the EU and, in addition to Ukrainian, has a passport of a citizen of a foreign country.
During his “work” as head of the legal department, the suspect received almost UAH 700,000 in salary, although he did not actually perform his duties. In particular, we are talking about more than UAH 120,000 allocated for business trips, more than UAH 70,000 for vacations, almost UAH 90,000 for sick leave, etc.
Depending on what was committed, both suspects were charged with misappropriation and embezzlement of large amounts of funds based on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons committed under martial law.
The Director was additionally notified of the suspicion of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period.
In addition, during the search of the former elected official, law enforcement officers discovered combat firearms and ammunition, which he kept without a permit. For this, he is additionally charged with illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
The Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor’s Office forwarded the request for notification of suspicion to the former People’s Deputy to the competent authorities of a foreign country for handing it over to the suspect in the order of international cooperation.
