The Defense Ministry has concluded contracts for almost UAH 130 billion with Ukrainian weapons producers

In 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has already signed contracts with 12 Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons totaling about UAH 130 billion within the Victory Weapons initiative, said the Director of the Department of Procurement of MOU Gleb Kanevsky, passes The press service of the defense department.

According to Kanevsky, the key requirements for participants include codification, mass production, and localization by not less than 50%.

“Victory Weapon Program allows us to build long -term partnerships with Ukrainian manufacturers. It is not only the stability of supply to the Armed Forces, but also the development of the defense industry, the creation of new jobs and strengthening the economy in war. Our task is to ensure the predictability and sustainability of this process, ”the official emphasized.

As part of the discussion with representatives of the Federation of Employers, they also discussed priority areas of procurement for 2025, improving the regulatory framework and the possibility of expanding long -term contracting mechanisms, the Ministry of Defense said.

From the beginning full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation Ukraine is trying to increase its own production of weapons, partially producing it in conjunction with partners.
