Literally the General Staff: “Yesterday (January 4 – ed.), the enemy carried out 62 airstrikes, dropped 185 guided aerial bombs and used 1 missile. In addition, it launched 4,016 attacks, including 84 from rocket salvo systems, and engaged 5,232 kamikaze drones for destruction.”

Details: On North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions the Russians launched 99 attacks, including 1 from multiple rocket launchers.
On South-Slobozhansk direction Ukrainian troops stopped 8 attacks by the occupiers in the areas of Vovchansk, Staritsa, Prylipka, Figolivka and towards Izbytskyi and Kutkivka.
On Kupyansk direction there were 3 attacks by invaders in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Pershotravnevo and towards Petropavlivka.
On Lyman direction the Russians attacked 10 times near the settlements of Novoselivka, Kolodyazne and Torske.
On Slavic direction The defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks near Dronivka, Siversk, and Sviato-Pokrovsky.
On Kramatorsk direction 1 clash took place in the area of Stupochki settlement.
On Kostyantynivskyi direction the Russians carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Aleksandro-Shultyny, Rusyny Yar, Yablunivka and towards Sofiivka.
On Pokrovsky direction Ukrainian defenders stopped 54 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of Shakhove, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske and in the direction of Novopavlivka.
On Oleksandrovsky direction the Russians attacked 24 times in the areas of Zeleny Gai, Oleksandrograd, Sosnivka, Vorone, Oleksiivka, Vyshneve, Solodke and Yehorivka settlements.
On Gulyaipil direction The defense forces repelled 65 attacks by Russians in the areas of Zeleni, Gulyaipol, Varvarivka, Dorozhnyanka and in the direction of Sviatpetrivka.
On Orihiv direction the occupiers made 8 attempts to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Plavni, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaki and Stepove settlements.
“Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 9 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 3 artillery systems, an electronic warfare device and 2 control points of enemy UAVs,” the General Staff concluded.
