According to the investigation, at the beginning of the descent, the law enforcement officer left the oncoming lane for overtaking and collided with the Opel car. As a result of an accident, two passengers of police officers, including a suspect’s colleague and a serviceman, were killed, the driver himself and another passenger were injured.
The driver of another car also suffered injuries.
The law enforcement officer was informed of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules, which led to the death of several persons.
The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years in prison.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is resolved.
