“The investigators managed to prove not only the facts of abuse and beating, but also the actual murder of prisoners when the cruelty of the torture caused the death of the imposed. The investigation found that the victims of the criminals were almost everyone who first got there. The fact of the death of one of the prisoners from the injured injuries is documented. The newcomers were threatened and beaten until they were breaking their will and forced to fulfill any instructions of the institution’s administration, ”the message reads.
Investigators found that “from the moment of arrival in the colony, each of the convicts underwent a rigid acceptance procedure, during which the newly argued convicts were forced to clean the floor, removing the specified process on the video camera.” “In the event of refusal, torture was used: beaten with hands, feet, rubber sticks, sticks in different parts of the body, twisted their hands and so on. Among other things, for example, more than 200 beats are documented one of the convicts, ”the DBR reported.
In the office of the Prosecutor General, the circumstances of one of the episodes of the case were reported: “It was found that in February 2022, the colony’s staff tortured one of the convicts within an hour. All this was accompanied by constant psychological pressure. During the next torture, the organizer inflicted prisoners of grievous bodily harm, from which he died. ”
Five officials of the Bozhkov Correctional Colony reported a new suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 28 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organized group), part 2 of Article 127 (torture), actions of the head of the organized group are additionally qualified under part two of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm).
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.
