At the request of the prosecutors, the judge of the Halytskyi district court extended the term of the pre-trial investigation until January 26, 2025.
In particular, prosecutor Babii asked to extend the period of the pre-trial investigation, which ends on September 26, until January 26, 2025.
The prosecution explained that they did not complete the two-month pre-trial hearing for objective reasons and there is a need to appoint additional examinations to examine the evidence. These examinations can be performed in October-November.

The suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion said that he was afraid for his life and himself asked for an extension of his preventive measure.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that on July 25, an 18-year-old boy was detained in Dnipro, who is suspected of being involved in the murder of Iryna Farion.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko noted that the law enforcement officers have enough evidence to claim that it was this detainee who shot the linguist. The investigation lasted 139 hours.
