On May 24, 2021, the “Servant of the People” faction decided to exclude the People’s Deputy Yevgeny Shevchenko from her composition. At the same time, in May 2023, the Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov confessed that the People’s Deputy Shevchenko conducted secret negotiations with self -proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the request of Ukrainian special services. Later, the General Directorate of Intelligence stated that the People’s Deputy Yevgeny Shevchenko has nothing to do with their structure.
