Details: Earlier, the SBU informed the person involved in the suspicion of awards agency (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose the Sorokun preventive measure in the form of arrest with an alternative to bail of 908 thousand hryvnias.
According to the UP, the person involved was to leave the pre -trial detention center after the bail was made, but received a new suspicion from the SBU under Art. 438 “Military Crimes”. This time the court decided to arrest the suspect without the right of bail.
Prehistory:
- Since 2008, Sorocansky has been the director of LLC “Safir LTD”, which is engaged in wholesale fuel trade and co-founder of the farm “Sapphir-Agro”. In 2020 he was elected to the Kherson Regional Council of the 8th convocation from the now forbidden political party “Vladimir Saldo”.
- After the start of a full -scale invasion, he got to Russian captivity, but later released Sorocaunsky.
- At the end of 2023, Sorocansky sued a lawsuit demanding that some media refute information about his possible cooperation with the Russians. During the consideration of the lawsuit, it became known that the court arrested the property of the Sorokunsky family agro -enterprises in the case of investigating the probable collaboration of the deputy of the regional council and his family members.
- In April 2024, the court denied him a lawsuit against journalists and did not grant his appeal later.
