The court ordered to grant Nestor Shufrych, a people’s deputy from the banned OPZZ, who is suspected of treason, the right to exercise his parliamentary powers.

Details: It is noted that Shufrych submitted a petition that he wants to exercise his parliamentary powers.
The court refused to allow him to physically participate in the meeting of the Council, but obliged to grant him the right to exercise the powers of a deputy during his stay in the pre-trial detention center.
Honcharenko’s direct speech: “The court sent the decision to the Verkhovna Rada for consultations.
I wonder how exactly this issue will be resolved. Because, according to the regulations, a people’s deputy can vote on draft laws only in the session hall. That is, Shufrych will not be able to vote.

What preceded:
- Shufrych and his ex-assistant Vyacheslav Cherepan are accused of financing actions to change and overthrow the constitutional order, seizure of state power, and changes in the territory and state borders of Ukraine.
