Details: The OGP informs that the Pechersk District Court of the city of Kyiv granted the request of the prosecution and ordered the former head of the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region to be detained for a period of 60 days, i.e. until February 22, 2026 inclusive.

Details: In the courtroom, Dudin told the correspondent of “Suspilny” that he considers his second detention on December 25 illegal.
Regarding the new suspicion, Dudin said that it was “actually something that was investigated and heard in court for three and a half years, they put it in the same text, made a new qualification and closed it in a new way. They tried to advance this story for three and a half years. It didn’t work – they changed the qualification, the story was left word for word. Not a new word, not a single new piece of evidence. And we are going to a new court. In this way, we can go through virtually the entire Criminal Case code”.
What preceded: On December 25, the UP source reported that over 4.2 million hryvnias of bail was paid for Roman Dudin, a suspect in treason, voluntary desertion and disobedience of the former head of the SBU department in the Kharkiv region. On Thursday evening, a new suspicion was announced to him and he was detained again.

Prehistory:
- On May 29, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi fired Roman Dudin, head of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, for negligent performance of his duties and promised him an investigation by law enforcement officers.
- Then the president said that Dudin “did not work for the defense of the city from the first days of the full-scale war, but thought only of himself personally.”
- On September 11, it became known that Dudin was detained on suspicion of treason.
- Dudin himself rejected the accusations. He also accused the head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov and the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov of giving false testimony. Also, the former head of the SBU in the Kharkiv region demanded from the director of the SBU to bring them to justice for this. Dudin accused the judges of bias.
