The Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution on the renaming of 328 settlements, People’s Deputies from the “Voice” faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak and the “European Solidarity” faction Oleksiy Honcharenko reported.
281 deputies voted “for”.
“328 settlements will be renamed. As I already reported, Yuzhne, Yuzhnoukrainian, Pavlograd, Synelnikove, Pervomaisk have been removed from this resolution,” Goncharenko wrote in a telegram.
Zheleznyak clarified that the new resolution was approved without discussion.
The day before, the Verkhovna Rada failed to vote on a resolution on renaming 7 districts, 15 cities, 56 settlements, and 262 villages within the framework of the decolonization process.
