- On September 22, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, announced that he was preparing an order to close Khreshchatyk during a minute of silence every day at 9:00 a.m.
- On September 23, traffic on the main street of the capital – Khreshchatyk – was blocked for the first time during a national minute of silence.

It will be recalled that Iryna Tsybukh, a fallen combat medic and media person, who received the title of Hero of Ukraine, worked on the implementation of a minute of silence in Ukraine. She was convinced that this ritual made it possible to start the day with gratitude to the fallen defenders.
