Details: At the parliament session, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, again put to a vote the question of summoning the Minister of Veterans Affairs Natalya Kalmykova to the February 3 meeting of the Council for a report on possible abuses of reservation from mobilization in the NVMK.

Hetmantsev’s direct speech: “When in state enterprises, in the military memorial cemetery, there are fake armors on the devils, who sit in the rear, do treasury work, instead of going to serve… I have great respect for Kalmykova, but I ask that she be summoned to our meeting on the first Tuesday of February at the opening of the session, so that she reports what is happening in the subordinate enterprise, and, in fact, when this problem of fake armors will end. This generally undermines justice in our society, undermines the foundations of mobilization. After all, this must be stopped. Thank you.”

Earlier, the parliament did not have enough votes for the proposal of People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak to summon Kalmykova and the director of NVMK Yaroslav Pronyutkin.
On January 12, Zheleznyak published a material in which he stated that co-hosts of the YouTube channel “Iceland” Volodymyr Petrov and Serhii Ivanov received booking from mobilization. According to the deputy, Petrov has been working at the state institution “National Military Memorial Cemetery” since July 31, 2025. and has a corresponding reservation from mobilization until January 21, 2026.
Direct moin Zheleznyak: “Armor” was issued to him not by the Ministry of Culture as a media person, not even by some private companies, but by a state institution. […] Informed sources say that Petrov is working [в НВМК] full-time, he is a specialist in the Department of Communications and Information Technologies. Moreover, he received money from the state budget for his work last year. Small – 70 thousand hryvnias, but enough to take advantage of one hundred percent reservation.”
Sergey Ivanov, for according to Zheleznyak, he also received a reservation in July 2025, but already from Star Trek Industries LLC – the contractor company “Energoatom”. His booking is said to be valid until June 2026.
Zheleznyak noted that Petrov and Ivanov in their public channels often accuse critics of the former head of the Office of the President Andrii Yermak of evading mobilization, while they themselves have reservations. According to the deputy, they received the armor after public attacks on NABU and SAP.
The parliamentarian also stated that Petrov’s reservation is financed from the state budget. In this regard, Zheleznyak announced his intention to file a complaint with law enforcement agencies. He added that the actual presence of Petrov at the workplace at NVMK can be verified, given his regular daily streams from the studio.
