It is noted that some ministers in Bairu’s government received new positions. In particular, Gerald Darmanen, the former Minister of the Interior, became the Minister of Justice. Eric Lombar was appointed Minister of Economy, and former Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne headed the Ministry of Education.

Prime Minister Francois Bayrou himself said that he was proud of the government “with the experience of reconciliation and restoration of trust.”

On the evening of Wednesday, December 4, the French Parliament passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier. 331 deputies of the National Assembly (the lower house of the parliament) voted for the vote of no confidence. In total, 289 votes were needed for such a decision.
