The commanders apply for the addition of a member of the specialized committee of the Council on TCC raids

“I understand that the majority of feedback comes from combat military commanders, when they turn and say that replenishment is needed, but the replenishment does not come””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

Combat commanders turn to the Territorial Centers of Manpower and Social Support for the replenishment of units – with this People’s Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence from the “Servant of the People” party, connected the mobilization raids of the TCC in public places, which started over the weekend. He stated that the military leadership should remind conscripts about their duties.

“Both the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and the military in general, should tell and tell, inform, what is happening in the war, what is the situation there, and so on, more to civilian conscript citizens of Ukraine. Who decided to remind? We have a problem in the fact that we do not have, perhaps, with whom to replenish the military formations. The boys are in the war there for the third year, they also want to go to the “Oceana Elsa” concert, go to restaurants,” said Oleksandr Fedienko on Radio Svoboda.

“I understand that the majority of feedback comes from combat military commanders, when they turn and say that replenishment is needed, but the replenishment does not come. That is why such a story happened that the recruitment and social support centers, as I understand it, in this way, within the framework of the current legislation, reminded that every citizen of Ukraine who is conscripted into the military must register for military service, because this is no longer a right , but a duty,” he added.

According to him, such measures are necessary because the combat units of the Defense Forces need additional staffing. However, when asked whether the mobilization failed, Oleksandr Fedienko said that this is information with limited access.

“The mobilization did not stop, it continues. Failed or not failed – this is information with limited access, and everyone has the right to say as they like. I can only state that our combat units, which are currently fulfilling their duty to protect the Motherland, need additional staffing,” said the deputy.

According to him, not all mobilized people end up on the front line, about 10% of them do. On the other hand, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a shortage of front-line personnel for positions such as electricians or drivers.

“If a person is subject to mobilization due to his age, the military medical commission determines his suitability, and he may be limited in his suitability to perform some combat tasks. But at the same time, we don’t have enough drivers, electricians, we don’t have enough financiers – those people who work with money in teams. We cannot say that everyone who is mobilized goes to the front line, to the trenches. In my opinion, up to 10-15% of servicemen who carry out their military duty with weapons in their hands,” said the deputy.

On October 11, a concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the band “Ocean Elsa” in Kyiv ended with shoving and men being dragged into police cars. The Kyiv regional TCC has already commented on this, stating that such document checks have been in effect continuously since the law on mobilization came into force. They also said that there were no conflict situations with the participation of TCC servicemen.

The so-called raids swept through various cities of Ukraine. In general, mobilization checks took place near shopping centers, in bars, gyms – sometimes with clashes and detentions.

People’s deputy from “European Solidarity” Mykola Knyazhytskyi said that he considers checks by the TCC at concerts of Ukrainian performers “a threat to Ukrainian culture.”

At the same time, People’s Deputy from “Servant of the People” and the head of the parliamentary committee on humanitarian and information policy Mykyta Poturaev said that he does not consider such checks at mass events “a threat to Ukrainian culture” or the economy, as well as document checks in bars or clubs. “Moreover, I welcome such inspections, and I believe that they should be comprehensive and permanent. And everyone should know about it,” said Poturaev.
