The cause of death of ex-world boxing champion Ricky Hutton has become known

The cause of death of 46-year-old eIBF, IBO and WBA world champion Ricky Hatton.

According to the source, the boxer committed suicide.

Coroner Alison Match announced this information during a hearing held at the Crown Court. Hutton was found unconscious in his bedroom, she said.

The inquest also said Ricky was last seen by the family on September 12 and appeared to be “in good condition”.

The next day, he did not appear at the event as planned, and on the morning of September 14, his manager came to his home and found him unconscious.

Hutton actively performed in the period from 1997 to 2012. The Briton was the IBF, WBA and IBO welterweight world champion and held the IBO and WBA welterweight belts.

During his career, the boxer had 48 fights, in which he won 45, 32 of them by knockout, and suffered three defeats.

Hatton fought his last professional fight in November 2012, losing to Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko. Prior to that, he had not fought in more than three years following a second-round knockout loss to Manny Pacquiao in May 2009.

In 2022, Hutton fought Marco Antonio Barrera in an exhibition fight, the winner of which was not even announced.

It should be noted that on December 2, the Briton was supposed to return to the ring with a fight against Eisa Al Daha.
