Deputies of the Russian State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill, which provides for the call of citizens for military service throughout the calendar year – from January 1 to December 31.

According to the document, during this period, troops will be able to organize a medical examination of conscripts, arrange psychological selection and hold meetings of the conscript commission.

The recruits will be sent to the place of service, as before, twice a year – from April 1 to July 15 and from October 1 to December 31.

The law of the law stipulates that the summons will be sent to conscripts during the year without attachment to a particular month. The initiative is aimed at “unloading military commissariats, which will not work for three months a year in the“ scalded cat ”mode, but normally, smoothly during the year,” said the author of the bill, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andriy Kartpolov.

The document also states that conscripts who for any reason have not received the summons must appear in the military enlistment office for a two-week period from the date of the next period of the next period of departure of citizens to military service.
